    Completed Projects

    Completed projects include:

    • Collaborative exhibition with The Kadoorie Institute and the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the Shenzhen Architecture Biennale 2013.
    • Commissioned by MTRC in contract research for a series of public engagements on new stations.
    • Design and installation of a park at Kwun Tong.
    • Collaboration with a Cambodian NGO to build schools in January 2014 with HKU students from faculties of Architecture, Business, Engineering, and Arts.
    • Assisted in facilitating overseas architectural practices dialogue with representatives from local professional institutions. Over 300 participants attended the symposium in March 2013 on Community Planning and Architecture and over 10 media reports, local and overseas were reported.
    • Conducted a research project to prepare a comprehensive Architecture Teaching Kit for all secondary school curriculum in Hong Kong. Funded by the Creative Smart Initiative and HKSAR, the project is a collaborative effort with HKIA, the Education bureau and over 470 local secondary schools.
    • Commissioned by the Antiquity Monument Office to research and design for the provision of Architectural Designs of Protection and Visitor Facilities for Rock Carvings and Inscription in Hong Kong.
    • Engaged in a Research Study on Barrier Free Vertical Transportation Provision and Historical Architecture in Hong Kong – commissioned by the Architecture Services Department.
    • Collaborated with ARCH on the design and research of public art installation for Tsun Yip Street Playground as Kwun Tong Industrial Heritage Park.
    • Conducted a Comprehensive Study of Housing in an Ageing Community ($1.9M funded by HKHS)
    • Submitted a Conceptual Master Plan for Western Harbourfront to the Central and Western District Council
    • Submitted Pedestrian Signage for Place Making to the Central and Western District Council
    • Prepared Hong Kong Tram Trail Apps for heritage tours
    • The new HKUrbanLab was one of the supporting organisations for the HK/Barcelona Urban Exchange Symposium, 22 February 2014 at the HKU Centenary Campus
    • Open House of No. 27 Lugard Road – Open House, a Grade 2 Historic Building that will be undergoing adaptation for reuse, possibly, as a “heritage hotel”
